EPISODE 1 A night filled with darkness,no light no air,my breath was heavy,I was scared,it felt like my heart was making it’s way out of my body. Suddenly I saw an eye looking at me.   Fire guts EC office in Accra TODAY AT 11:03 AM  Tell your friends       The office of the  Electoral Commission  (EC) in Accra has been gutted by fire. EC office burnt The fire, reports stated started in the early hours of Friday, August 14, 2020.  Reports also stated that fire personnel who were called to the scene had a hectic time before eventually bringing the fire under control. According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, four fire tenders were dispatched from Amasaman, Kotoku, Nsawam, and Abelemkpe onto the scene to quench the fire and provide security. EC office burnt "The Greater Accra Regional Director of Commission, Mr. Kwame Amoah informed the Regional Police Commander DCOP Mr. Afful Boakye Yiadom who was at the scene that the fire will not affect the recent registration and the upcoming December 2020 elections," it added. Schools reopening in Ghana won’t be immediate -Education Minister

      Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Minister of Education has dismissed suggestions that schools might reopen in September in the country. Ghana’s Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh He said such assertions cannot be true and government is yet to take a definite decision on when to to officially open schools. Speaking on TV3, Dr. Prempeh, who is popularly known as Napo, said the behavior of the virus will determine when schools will open. So depending on the science and data, we will reopen schools. We reopened schools for final years as they maintain social distancing,” he said. He observed when schools reopened for final students to write their examinations, the government suffered flak from people.
